SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A man is dead after a crash near Lineville on Monday.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a crash on Hwy. 9 at 3:25 in the afternoon Monday claimed the life of Stephen Dwayne Green, 57, of Delta. Green, ALEA said, was traveling south on Alabama Hwy. 9 when the 1999 Ford F-150 he was driving collided with a 2018 Dodge Ram that was traveling north. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge Ram was identified as Tyler Austin Nichols, 21, of Rome, Georgia. Nichols was not injured in the crash.
The crash occurred at the 201.1 mile marker, 12 miles north of Lineville.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
