TALLADEGA, Ala. – A fatal collision that occurred early Saturday morning on May 11 claimed the life of a Talladega man, authorities said.
77-year old Troy D. Harry, of Talladega, was critically injured in the two-vehicle crash around 1:54 a.m. on Hwy 21 near Bullocks Ferry Rd., approximately four miles south of Talladega’s city limits, according to a statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Harry was a passenger in a 2016 Ford F-150 driven by Vanessa S. Harry, 71, also of Talladega, when their vehicle was struck by a 2019 Ford F-550 driven by Joshua D. Shell, 42, of Childersburg.
Troy Harry was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Vanessa Harry was injured and transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
