CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – SylacaugaNews.com was alerted to a shooting that occurred in Childersburg that resulted in a fatality.

Childersburg Police Chief Rick McClelland confirmed with SylacaugaNews.com a shooting occurred Saturday night. Sources with the Talladega County Sheriffs Office said the shooting occurred off Veaslett Ln. in a trailer park community.

CPD responded along with Talladega County Sheriff’s Office and the Talladega County District Attorney’s Office. An investigation is underway. No other details are known at this time.
