SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Each year, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) holds a four-day media-based event to showcase all SEC coaches and several players from each team. Hundreds of members from local, state, regional, and national radio, print, online, and broadcast media converge at the Hyatt Regency in Hoover, Ala., to hear what coaches and players have to say about the upcoming football season.

This year, Marble City Media is proud to announce coverage of SEC Media Days on Yea!106.5, 105.1 WRFS, and online at SylacaugaNews.com.

Coaches and players are brought to large banquet rooms set up for respective media members and spend time answering questions from the press. SEC Media Days’ greatest exposure comes on broadcast television as ESPN and the SEC Network broadcast all week long.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be covering SEC Media Days this year,” said Jeremy Law, host of The Breakdown with Jeremy Law. “We have grown from a small AM station to six dominant, regional signals blanketing more than 20 counties in the state, with more to come. That growth alone, along with the opportunity to cover SEC Media Days, tremendously adds to our credibility and commitment to informing and entertaining our listeners in East Central Alabama. I look forward to expanding the show in the future.”

Law has spent a lifetime around sports and more than a year in regional sports broadcasting on 105.1 WRFS hosting Breakdown. The hour-long show features and highlights the ins and outs of college football with special guests, analysis, and more. For Media Days, the show will simulcast on 105.1 WRFS and Yea!106.5. Law’s vast experience in television/audio production, hosting, and guest appearances shows his passion for sports. Law graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in broadcast journalism with an emphasis on sports broadcasting.

This year, Birmingham sports broadcasting legend Matt Coulter joins the team. In May, Coulter joined Marble City Media LLC as Senior Account Executive, responsible for key sales and engagement efforts and its related digital products.

“I was at the first SEC Media Days when there was only one radio station,” Coulter said jokingly. “Now there are countless members of the media on radio, broadcast, print, and online. To be a part of something I love once again means so much. It’s a passion of mine and I’m proud to be a part of this growing team.”

Coulter is the track announcer for Talladega Superspeedway which led to a role in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and is half of the “Matt and Matt” podcast on Twister.fm along with former NFL player Matt Allen for which James Spann is executive producer. He was a talk show host with Birmingham’s Superstation 101 WYDE, 97.3 The Zone, WJOX/WSPZ, and WAPI; sports anchor and reporter with NBC 13 WVTM-TV, Birmingham; and sports director with WCFT-TV, Tuscaloosa. Coulter has solid experience in sales as a top revenue producer and in writing/research, social media, internet marketing, public speaking, and public relations.

The Breakdown will air Monday through Thursday starting at 3:00 p.m. on Yea!106.5 and 105.1 WRFS.
