SYLACAUGA, Ala. – School is out and your children are home for summer, but you cannot find a baby sitter. What are you going to do?
Sylacauga Parks and Recreation has you covered. From June 1 through July 28 the Parks and Rec. department will host its summer day camp at the J. Craig Smith Community Center.
The Recreation department has hosted the summer camp for more than 25 years and is prepared to not only oversee, but also guide your child over the two month camp.
“This is a good safe place for your children in the summer,” said Parks and Recreation Director Jim Armstrong. “It is also very affordable. Our summer camp won’t cost you an arm and a leg.”
The camp will feature college-aged counselors and a certified teacher, Jasmine Ford. The summer will also feature many activities such as field trips, library trips, and swimming in the city pool once per week.
The camp costs $87.50 per week which includes breakfast and lunch. For more information you can call Sylacauga Parks and Recreation at (256) 249-8561.
