SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Christmas season is here. Many have had their lights, tress, and decorations up since Thanksgiving. But if you are lacking the Christmas spirit, many talented local students might be able to fill you with Christmas cheer.
On Thursday, Dec. 15, around 180 students from grades 6 – 12 will be performing as the Sylacauga City Schools’ Fine Arts Department holds its Holiday Band Concert.
The show will be a joint concert between the Sylacauga High School and Nicholas Lawson Middle School bands. The bands will perform separately at the beginning, but will join together at the conclusion of the concert to play one final song.
“We are extremely proud of the students this year,” said Ryan Murrell, Sylacauga High School Band Director. “They have been hard at work representing the school, and this concert will no doubt be great as well.”
The Holiday Band Concert will be held in the Sylacauga High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, but donations will gladly be accepted.
