The Sylacauga BOE made a statement Monday following the finalist announcement:

The Sylacauga Board of Education would like to thank the Sylacauga community for their input in the Superintendent Search Survey conducted earlier this month. A diverse range of stakeholders responded giving the board valuable insight into the community’s expectations for the next superintendent.

Dr. Freeman left SCS last month to accept the position as the superintendent at Vestavia Hills.

The board will announce their selection for superintendent later in May.
