The team, coached by Jamey Milam, Clay Mintz, and Jody Brooks, has competed in a round robin tournament since Friday and have posted an impressive 4-0 record against the other four teams in the tournament.

Their opponent will be from Tallassee who they have already beaten in the tournament.

Area All-Star players are: Luke Vincent, Maccoy Milam, Ryan Payne, Austin Mintz, Chris Twymon, Mitchell Culver, Brady Holmes, Landon Machen, Jacob Haynes, Jashasline James, Trent Roberson, and Dax Flora (not pictured).

Sylacauga’s boys are accustomed to the spotlight and hoisting trophies, placing second as 13-year-olds and winning state as 14-year-olds.

Sylacauga Tournament Director and Manager Jamey Milam said, “The boys have worked hard, and they are ready to play. They placed 2nd in State as 13-year-olds, and they won State last year as 14-year-olds. I am hoping they win it all again at home this year. I hope everyone comes out to support them – it will be a great day of baseball.”

First pitch of the championship game is set for 6:30 at the Babe Ruth field in Sylacauga behind Noble Park.
