CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Authorities have confirmed reports of a shooting outside Bam’s Laundromat and the ABC Store on U.S. Highway 280 in Childersburg on Saturday afternoon.

According to witnesses, two females were involved in a loud argument and began fighting as a crowd gathered. The alleged shooter, who is still at large, left his vehicle, fired shots, and fled the scene before the police arrived.

The Childersburg Fire Department confirmed that a 20-year-old female was shot in the hip and flown to a Birmingham hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
