SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Comer Museum & Arts Center has upgraded its outward appearance.
According to Museum Director Donna Rentfrow, the museum has been recently repainted on the outside. “The Comer Museum & Arts Center is decked out with a brand new look at 711 North Broadway Avenue in Sylacauga,” stated Director Donna Rentfrow. “The building’s exterior was looking quite weather beaten and in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint. The last time it had been painted was in the early 1980s. A medium grey paint was chosen to enhance the grey vein through-out the beautiful white marble façade.”
With the facelift, the museum is inviting everyone to come check out the museum along with the upgrades.
“We invite you to take time and visit your museum on a regular basis. Take a time travel tour through history, learn about “old Sylacauga” and the surrounding communities and view a new art exhibition each month,” said Rentfrow.
The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
Keep in mind, the museum may also be rented for wedding receptions, birthdays, showers, teas, and more. For information, call 256-245-4016.
