MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Students from many of our state’s local communities will be competing for top awards at the 2018 Alabama Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference, March 8-9.

Top winners will earn bronze, silver, or gold medals, and the opportunity to advance to the national championships in Atlanta, Georgia, in June. FCCLA is a national organization for students interested in Family and Consumer Science careers and programs-of-study.
It is unique among student organizations, because it emphasizes “family” as its central focus. More than 1,000 students and parents from Alabama’s top middle school and high school FCCLA chapters are traveling to Montgomery, to participate in this exciting event.
The celebration will kick off when FCCLA hosts its Opening Session – Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m., in the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre. This session will feature national speaker Bill Cordes, and dynamic workshops, to inspire students to continue working towards success.
