13 recently arrested on drug charges in Shelby County

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. – The past week has been busy for the Shelby County Jail, as many people have suffered the consequences of using or trafficking drugs.

Erik Aaron Bailey was brought in on March 1o for Trafficking Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Drug Paraphernalia. His bond is set at $252,000 for the three charges.

Benjamin Donald Robinson has a bond of $31,300 for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Drug Paraphernalia, and Public Intoxication. He has been in the Shelby County Jail since March 7.

Another inmate who has been in the jail since the March 7 is Christine Inez Cox. She was arrested for Unlawful Possession/Rec of a Controlled Substance, Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Drug Paraphernalia, Promoting Prison Contraband (Drugs), and Driving Under the Influence. Her bond is set at $12,000 for the charges.

Mario Letrelle Evans was brought in on March 6 for Unlawful Possession/Rec of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Drug Paraphernalia. His bond is set at $7,000.

Edward Paul Gregg Jr. has a bond of $6,000 for Unlawful Possession/Rec of a Controlled Substance and Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Drug Paraphernalia. He has been in the jail since March 10.

Carolyne Elizabeth McMinn also has a bond of $6,000, and was brought in March 12. She was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Use or Possession and Unlawful Possession/Rec of a Controlled Substance.

Three inmates are in for the same charge of Unlawful Possession/Rec of a Controlled Substance with their bonds set at $5,000. Earnest Cunningham was arrested March 6, Bobby Eugene Green on March 12, and Cory Allen Peal on March 7.

Jeremy Wayne Reyer was arrested on March 11 for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Use or Possession, and Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs. His bond is set at $2,000.

Two inmates have a bond of $1,000 for Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense. Melissa Awtrey McGill was brought in on March 6, and Tonya Jewel Ryans on March 9.

Christina Bonnie Provstgaard was arrested this morning, March 13 for Unlawful Possession/Rec of a Controlled Substance, and her bond has not yet been set.

Possession of a Controlled Substance is a Class C felony in Alabama.
