December’s First Responder of the Month is Kenneth Funderburg from the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office.
Funderburg is a deputy sheriff and the school resource officer at Childersburg High School. He takes a genuine interest in every one of the students and dedicates himself to the safety of our whole community. He is a loving father and husband and a great friend.
”It means so much that I can be able to help a child in need,” said Funderburg. “I can protect them and instill good qualities in them. I just want to change the [negative] narrative about law enforcement.”
Thank you Kenneth Funderburg for your service!
The First Responder of the Month is presented by Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Each First Responder of the Month receives a $50 VISA gift card from First Bank of Alabama.
