SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Comer Museum and Arts Center will host the Third Annual Fine Arts and Craft Fair on Saturday, October 15.
The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and will include a variety of fun activities like face painting and crafts for every member of the family. The Home Depot will provide craft kits, books will be read by local authors, and there will be live entertainment by local bands. Throughout the day, a blood drive will take place in the parking lot.
“There will be gospel singers, country singers, and [Bobby G. from Yea!106.5] will play the oldies. It’s a great variety of music,” said Linda Pearson, assistant director of the Comer Museum.
Attendees can observe plein air artists and view the fine art features throughout the rooms and halls of the museum. A variety of vendors selling everything from baked goods to jewelry will also be present at the event. There will also be a raffle for an Auburn queen-sized quilt along with a 50/50 Split the Pot.
“The museum is not normally open on Saturday’s. This is a great opportunity for families to come out and learn more about our city’s history,” said Pearson.
The Comer Museum is located at 711 North Broadway, Sylacauga, Al 35150. For more information call (256) 245-4016.
